If you love to eat well, welcome to Valencia. Luxurious Michelin-starred restaurants for special occasions and inexpensive cozy restaurants with delicious national dishes await you. Especially for gourmets and those who are just beginning to get acquainted with gastronomic Valencia, I decided to compile a list of my favorite restaurants worth visiting.
Inexpensive
- Nou Oslo | El rei de l’esmorzaret – here they serve sandwiches with a lot of fillings to choose from, I recommend the garlic toast with hoisin sauce.
- Central Bar – owned by famous chef Ricardo Marina, you can try the famous dish Esmorçaret, which is the Valencian equivalent of an English breakfast. I recommend the artichokes with romesco sauce.
- Salad Planet
- Bocadella Tapas da Mario
- Empanadas Malvón
- Tanto Monta
- 100 Montaditos
Local Cuisine
- Ostras Pedrín – a place where they serve canned and salted seafood, as well as fresh oysters. Canned seafood in Spain can cost more than fresh, it’s like aged ham. I recommend bocarrones (anchovies).
- Bar Ricardo – a family restaurant where they cook fresh food from market products. I recommend patatas bravas (potatoes with spicy sauce).
- Casa Montaña – one of the oldest and tastiest tapas restaurants in the city. Try the pork steak with parsley and secret sauce.
- Meat Market (steakhouse)
- La Taberna Casera (tapas restaurant)
- A huevo
- Fum de LLum
Fine Dining
- Gallina Negra
- Xanglot (Michelin Restaurant)
- 2 Estaciones
- Saiti (Michelin Restaurant)
- Ricard Camarena (2 Michelin Stars)
