Public transportation in Valencia includes: metro, buses, trams, and commuter trains. The metro and trams are combined into the Metrovalencia network: metro lines – 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7, and tram lines — 4, 6, and 8. Buses are serviced by EMT Valencia.
Fare zones
The ticket price depends directly on which fare zone you are traveling within. There are 3 zones in total:
A – Valencia;
B – nearby towns;
C – airport.
Tickets
You can use separate tickets for the bus and metro. Check fares on the official websites of Metrovalencia and EMT.
Single ticket
A single ticket is a one-time ticket for a single trip within the selected zones.
1 zone A, B – €1.50;
2 zones AB, BC – €2.80.

SUMA 10
But it’s more convenient to buy universal SUMA tickets for all types of public transport (Metrovalencia, EMT, MetroBus, and Cercanías Renfe).

Ticket to the airport
The Aeroport metro station is located right in the airport. Two metro lines go there – L3 (red line) and L5 (green line).

Where to buy a ticket
- from a machine at the metro station;
- at ticket offices at stations (not available at all stations);
- at tobacco shops and newsstands.
It is recommended to purchase a Valencia Tourist Card for 24, 48, or 72 hours. It allows unlimited travel on public transportation in all zones, including travel Valencia-airport-Valencia.
