I'm sharing with you an interesting route to the Teno lighthouse. Getting there by car isn't easy, as the road is closed from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. During this time, there's a bus that costs 1 euro.
Recently, my family and I decided to take a walk around the campus of the University of La Laguna. We were especially impressed by the Faculty of Fine Arts, Bellas Artes. It looks a lot like the new Apple office in Silicon Valley.
The clean sea, warm climate and interesting leisure activities attract many tourists to Tenerife every year. With children, you can visit nature reserves and zoos, watch whales and enjoy water slides. I've put together a list of affordable entertainment options for children in Tenerife.
I'm sharing my favorite places to eat, drink, or indulge in the town of Puerto de la Cruz on Tenerife. I'll tell you about restaurants, cafes, and bars that I find interesting.
I found the statue I've been looking for a very long time. It's called Stone Mother (Madre de piedra), they say it resembles Putin. It's located in Santa Ursula, Tenerife. I made several attempts to find this statue, and this time we were lucky. The sculpture-flowerbed sits in a small park called Jardin Social La Quinta. There's a large parking lot nearby. If you're in Puerto de la Cruz, stop by and take some pictures.
Lago Martianez is an outdoor pool complex located in Puerto de la Cruz. Since the north of Tenerife constantly experiences waves, such a complex is not only appropriate but also necessary. All the pools are filled with ocean water.
Tenerife Norte is another airport in Tenerife, located in the north of the island, 14 kilometers from the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Sometimes you can hear its old name – Los Rodeos.
In the western part of Tenerife Island, nestled among rocky shores, lies a small, luxurious little cove. Here, you'll find light, fine sand and clear azure waters.
The main festival in Tenerife - the carnival - takes place in February. I have prepared a detailed manual with a schedule of events for you. Something interesting happens every day, but there are specific days when the carnival itself takes place. I wrote about this below.
Playa de Almáciga – my favorite in Anaga park. It's a beach with character and a distinctive wild nature. Be very careful with it. It'll greet you with relaxed and serene hippies in vans, running surfers, and tanned Canarian youth sunbathing. The beach has pleasant warm black sand. But I wouldn't recommend swimming beyond waist-deep, especially if there are waves, as there can be riptides. After sunbathing, let's go to the next beach to watch the sunset.
We were sitting and thinking about which route to take through Anaga Park this time. There are dozens of them there. We decided to drive to the most romantic Benijo beach and walk along 2 routes and also explore some unofficial trails.
The most sensual beach on the island is Playa de Benijo. Time your visit during low tide, otherwise you won't see the beach. It's a nudist and free-spirited people's beach. Feel at one with nature. Make sure to visit a few hours before sunset as the sun disappears behind the mountains earlier. Your photos will be mind-blowing!
A hike through the atypical and less crowded part of Anaga Park in the north of Tenerife. In the middle of the hike, we'll take a dip at a secluded beach. In the mountains, we'll spot some goats and walk among the clouds.
