By bus 343 without a transfer
The fastest and cheapest option is the express bus 343 (Línea 343 Puerto Cruz – Los Cristianos Por Aeropuertos Norte y Sur Express). The bus departs from Puerto de La Cruz, stops at the northern Tenerife Airport (TFN), then at the southern Tenerife Airport (TFS), and then goes to the final destination Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje in the south of the island. The journey takes about an hour and a half. The ticket costs around €10. The downside of the bus is that there are only 4 trips per day, and it’s difficult to catch a flight on time. Here is the schedule for bus 343:
By buses 100 and 10 with a transfer
Taking two Titsa buses with a transfer in Santa Cruz provides a more flexible schedule, but you’ll have to transfer and carry your luggage from one bus to another. First, we take bus 100 to Santa Cruz (Intercambiador Sta.Cruz). Then we transfer to bus 10 to Puerto. The journey takes 1 hour 35 minutes. The bus connection is very comfortable in terms of time, with only about 10 minutes of waiting. At night, bus 104 runs instead of bus 100. It’s most convenient to plan the schedule on Google Maps.
Shuttle bus to the hotel
If you are staying at a hotel in Puerto de la Cruz, it makes sense to buy a shuttle bus ticket. This is a bus that takes tourists to their hotels. It might take a bit longer, but they’ll take you and your luggage right to the hotel door. If you’ve booked an apartment, indicate the nearest hotel in the search, otherwise, it won’t work. The carrier is usually Canary Shuttle.
Take a taxi
A taxi will cost around €150. You might want to consider it if there are 3 or 4 of you. At the airport, just follow the taxi signs and pay the metered fare.
What I would choose
I would recommend bus 343 – it’s fast, convenient, and inexpensive. But if you want comfort, it’s better to take the shuttle. Choose a taxi if there are 3 or 4 of you.
