By bus 343 without a transfer
The direct option is express bus 343 (Línea 343 Puerto Cruz – Los Cristianos por Aeropuertos Norte y Sur Express). It departs from Puerto de La Cruz, calls at Tenerife North Airport (TFN), then at Tenerife South Airport (TFS), and continues south to Los Cristianos, with Costa Adeje as the southern terminus reference. Travel time is 1 hour 40 minutes (100 minutes).
A single ticket bought on board costs €14.05. Before boarding, grab a Ten+ card from the ticket machines at the airport arrivals hall — the card itself is €2, and it cuts the fare to roughly €9.55, a 20–30% discount. By buses 100 and 10 with a transfer
Taking two Titsa buses with a transfer in Santa Cruz provides a more flexible schedule, but you’ll have to transfer and carry your luggage from one bus to another. First, we take bus 100 to Santa Cruz (Intercambiador Sta.Cruz). Then we transfer to bus 10 to Puerto. The journey takes 1 hour 35 minutes. The bus connection is very comfortable in terms of time, with only about 10 minutes of waiting. At night, bus 104 runs instead of bus 100. It’s most convenient to plan the schedule on Google Maps.
Shuttle bus to the hotel
Travellers staying at a hotel in Puerto de la Cruz can book a shared shuttle for roughly €5 to €9 per person. The main providers are Canary Shuttle, Hoppa and Civitatis. If you’ve rented an apartment, pick the closest hotel as the drop-off point during booking.
The ride takes longer than bus 343 from tenerife south airport to puerto de la cruz because the van stops at several hotels, but for small groups travelling with luggage it remains an economical door-to-door option. I usually book cheaper here:
Take a taxi
A taxi will cost around €150. You might want to consider it if there are 3 or 4 of you. At the airport, just follow the taxi signs and pay the metered fare.
What I would choose
I would recommend bus 343 – it’s fast, convenient, and inexpensive. But if you want comfort, it’s better to take the shuttle. Choose a taxi if there are 3 or 4 of you.
