Nature
Where else can you find such a variety of landscapes? Beaches, mountains, steppes, forests – it’s all here! It’s a hiker’s paradise. No matter where you go, you can find interesting official routes that are well-marked. All routes and almost all parks are free. You can even walk on private property, and no one will shoot salt at you.
Food and Products
You won’t go hungry! Stores have a huge selection of fresh and quality products. Ready meals are also top-notch. Lots of fresh fish and seafood. And local fruits and vegetables are delicious, the main thing is to know where and when to buy them.
I measured my grocery basket. I eat like an herbivore, half of the cart is greens, vegetables, and fruits. I don’t forget about meat either.
Travel
You can fly anywhere for pennies. Get on a plane, and you’re already in Milan or Madrid. Traveling by car is also convenient. When borders are open, the possibilities are endless. The world feels smaller and more accessible.
Don’t forget to look for hot flight deals on my website lowcost.pro/en/.
Diverse Climate
Spain is like a culinary menu – choose what you want. Eternal spring in the Canary Islands, snow in the Catalonian mountains, heat in Andalusia. And all this within one country! You can change the climate like gloves every weekend. But you won’t find minus 40 degrees.
Warm-hearted Spaniards
Most locals are the sweetest and kindest people. They will always help, guide, and support you. It’s just nice to be around them. It’s like living inside a big friendly family. When you’re surrounded by so much positivity, life immediately takes on new colors. We have a lot of grandmothers living in our apartment building now, and they marvel and coo every time they see Diana.
Education
It’s never too late to learn! There are many opportunities for adults here: language schools, professional courses, universities. Even if you arrived without an education, you can catch up. Some programs are free or cost very little compared to other countries. For example, Lena studies in a language school for free, she only pays for study materials and exams. There are also many free courses to get simple professions – hiking guide, nurse, gardener, banana specialist.
Freedom to Be Yourself
In Spain, no one will point at you because of your hair color or views. You can relax and be yourself here. For any hobby, you’ll find a community of like-minded people. I found a great group of hiker-techies. We also have a group of Hardstyle music lovers. I can wear cheap, simple clothes, and no one looks at me weirdly.
High-Quality Healthcare
Let’s not dwell on the negative, but if anything happens, they’ll take care of you here. Modern hospitals, robotic technology, the best medications. Insurance is inexpensive and covers everything. You don’t have to look for connections to see a doctor. Everything is transparent and accessible. Usually, I can see a doctor the next week, and rarely do I wait more than 2 weeks.
