Medusa Festival in Cullera – how to plan

Recently, I attended the Medusa Festival, an annual music event held on the beach in the city of Cullera, about 50 kilometers from Valencia. This festival is for fans of club music, offering a wide range of genres from House, Techno, and EDM to Hardstyle and Hardcore.

How to get to Medusa Festival

My friend and I flew directly from Tenerife to Valencia and attended three out of four days. Getting to Cullera is straightforward, but plan the last mile in advance. Take the C1 cercanías train from Valencia Nord every 30 minutes to Cullera station. From there, it’s about a 28-minute walk to the festival grounds along the beach road.

Prefer to skip the walk? Book the official bus medusa festival shuttles (lanzaderas) online well in advance — they sell out fast. The local L2 and L1A buses also link the station with the venue. Flying in? The Valencia Airport shuttle costs €25 round-trip and drops you near the entrance.

Ticket Purchase

For the medusa festival 2026 edition (August 13–17), grab passes through the official website as soon as possible. Early bird tickets start at €67, and regular admission goes from €77 once the first batches sell out. Forget the old €107 gate price and €72 camping fee from the 2025 line-up — pricing tiers now climb in waves.

The wristband system is fully cashless. Each NFC band works as your pass and e-wallet, but you must preload credit via the website or app at least 48 hours before arrival. Skip that step and you’ll wait in long top-up queues on site.

Book early: Tomorrowland 2026 is already sold out, pushing extra demand toward Cullera.

Camping Area

Buy the entry ticket and the camping medusa festival bundle together on the official site — this combo saves you €20 compared to purchasing them separately. Pitches go on a first-come basis, so arrive early on day one.

Pack for dust and heat: large stretches of the field have no shade, and the ground turns to fine powder by afternoon. Bring your own tent — on-site rentals sell out weeks before the gates open. The beach sits a short walk away for a cool-off.

    Checklist for camping cullera medusa:

  • A two-person tent (Decathlon works fine)
  • Two foam mats and light sleeping bags
  • Headlamp, two folding chairs, power banks
  • Dust mask or bandana, sunscreen SPF 50
  • Prefer a real bed? Book Hotel Cullera Holiday or Apartamentos Milenio 6–12 months ahead — both fill up fast once the lineup drops.

How the Medusa Festival area is set up

Water bottle

At the entrance, security checks you thoroughly – no food, drinks, or water allowed. I grabbed a soft 800 ml water pouch for €1 in the pet aisle – it looks like a mayo packet and slides into shorts pockets. Refills inside are free.

The food court packs trucks from known brands, even Burger King and Papa John’s. A burger runs around €12, with most plates between €10 and €15. Lockers cost €10/day, handy if you arrive straight from the train. Pay by card or wristband at every bar: €5 for a 0.33 beer, €10 for a cocktail, €4 for a shot.

Medusa 2026 runs 8 simultaneous stages and confirms over 130 artists across techno, house, hardstyle and trance. Headliners include Tiësto, Carl Cox and Steve Aoki, plus an Armin van Buuren set on the main arena with full pyro.

The wild moments come from the «medusa» solo show performances – think Martin Garrix taking the main stage alone with a custom production. These solo shows now have reserved viewing zones for VIPs, so plan your spot early.

Life hack: skip the camping and rent an apartment in Valencia near the station. The train gets you there in an hour, and the first morning trains run right when the festival wraps at 6 am.
