While Spain has a warm climate, it has developed quite successful and popular ski resorts. The country is actively developing its winter recreation industry, with various slopes in Spanish mountain ranges equipped for both novice skiers and experts.

1. Sierra Nevada

Sierra Nevada is a popular resort in Spain and the highest in terms of geographical location. It is situated in the southwest, near Granada. The elite of society come here: actors, celebrities, and politicians. There are 87 kilometers of slopes of various difficulty levels, as well as cross-country skiing trails. Over 400 snow cannons ensure ideal slope coverage. Guests can enjoy luxurious hotels, ski schools, and all kinds of après-ski establishments.

6. Espot Esquí

9. Masella

Masella is a ski station in the Catalan Pyrenees. The total length of its slopes is 27 km. Masella’s trails include professional, easy, and amateur descents. There are beautiful forest sections leading to clearings. Many playgrounds and sports facilities are available.

Manzaneda is a resort in the province of Ourense in Galicia, located in the middle of the Sierra Queixa mountain range. You can expect 16 km of slopes. For beginners, there’s a professional ski school. This resort offers a variety of après-ski activities: pools, go-karting, and tennis. Manzaneda is particularly popular among locals.
